Goals are an important part of effort. They will determine what effort we give, when we give it, and how we give it. Our effort is much more effective if we focus it o a single goal or a small group of goals.

This “Attitude of Gratitude” is so powerful because it changes the way we look at everything in our life. You can’t feel angry, bitter or resentful when you are feeling grateful. When you feel grateful you are focused on what is good in your life and that will push out what is bad. This is the amazing thing, when we think about being grateful it literally pushes the negative feelings out of us.
What we are thinking about will determine what our attitude will be and how we will approach every situation in our lives. If we change what we are thinking about we can change our attitude in a matter of a few minutes…That is powerful!
One of the great things that I discovered in my personal growth work is that we get to choose our attitude each day. In fact we get to choose our attitude every hour of every day and every minute of every hour of every day.
Where I grew up in Nova Scotia in Eastern Canada, there were spruce trees everywhere. They were like weeds. If you left a field untended for a few years it would be covered with little spruce trees. If you walked into the woods you usually found spruce trees everywhere and in every size.
